CONTRA provides locations and complete production services anywhere in the world: For over 30 years now, CONTRA has been providing the full range of services needed to successfully accomplish the entire spectrum of photo and film productions ranging from the most simple to the extremely complex. When we advertise „international production services“, we mean it. On first glance it may appear strange that -for example- an American photographer hires a German production service to work in China or another place in Asia. However, there are good reasons for this:

We are operating globally, because that’s what most of our clients do. They want to rely on the same service quality, and for this reason we are their reliable partner – wherever the shoot takes place.

Our producers and scouts are based in China, Germany, North America, Spain and Switzerland and are experienced in working not only in their home country but internationally as well. Additionally we built up a worldwide network of experienced freelancers that we work with on a regular basis. This infrastructure and experience allows us to provide a time and cost efficient production and at the same time ensure the best results.

CONTRA offers consulting from the earliest stages of a project. With our long experience in the business and our extensive network around the world we can advise on every aspect of a production. In doing so we can help to minimize complicacies and to save costs already in the conceptual phase.

We are happy to assist all kinds of productions – from small editorial shootings that may only need a little assistance during preproduction to complex multi-territory shoots that require comprehensive production support during the whole shooting.

budgeting.

CONTRA provides a clear and detailed estimate adapted to the clients budget. The costs for the complete production are itemized so that the estimate provides a clear insight into how the overall costs are made up. During the shoot our crew will take care of all financial matters.

Our accounting includes a detailed overview of all costs and (if not requested otherwise) all receipts and invoices obtained during the shoot. As the accounting is broken down by the same categories as the estimate we can guarantee full transparency as to all spendings during the production.
